Meet little Misty. We met her in April in our backyard and planned to trap-fix-release her but she is so people-friendly, we think she was someone’s pet. After we first met, Misty would come running, tail straight up, as fast as she could when we called her, rub on our legs, and go “roly-poly” to offer her belly. She even walked into the trap while we stood next to it. She would have walked into our home, except for our cats. That is when we realized that she was fearful of other cats and was having a hard time in the wild. The Toms had beaten her up some. Misty had no collar and nobody was actively looking for her so we suspect she may have been abandoned. We have been fostering her since and she is ready to find a home.

Misty is very sweet, quiet and so tiny. She is barely more than a kitten and weighs only 7 lbs. When we found her she was pregnant with 5 kittens, which might explain why she is scared of other cats! Misty is virus negative, vaccinated, spayed and has all her claws. She loves to play, is very smart and is very affectionate. She is on her way to becoming a wonderful lap cat. But living in my office, surrounded by our cats on the other side of the door, is stressful for her and it is holding her back. She is a special needs kitty. She is definitely an only cat and she might not do well with young children. She won’t need a playmate because she only wants to be your lover cat. She needs a forever home so she doesn’t have to live in a cage for the rest of her life or be sent across the rainbow bridge. Will you be her happy ending?
